This book offers a documented research into the life and works of Romolo Ferrari (1894-1959) and the world of the Italian guitar during his lifetime. Thanks to extensive and coordinated research, a considerable body of new documentation has emerged, allowing a new light on such matters as repertoire, music publishing and education, guitar making as well as new biographical information on a number of personalities who figured prominently in Ferrari’s life, resulting in a new and detailed study of a rich and important period in the history of the instrument.
