On October 25, 2014 will
be held the XXVII Guitar ConventionI. The event
is organized by the Scientific Committee of the
project Chitarra in Italia (Giuliano Balestra,
Simona Boni, Giovanni Indulti , Vincenzo Pocci ,
Enrico Tagliavini) and stands as meeting for
study and analysis of the consolidated value,
for to the knowledge of the repertoire and the
history of the guitar.
After being hosted in the
city of Modena for several years, starting in
2013 the initiative has had an itinerant
character, in line with the tradition started by
Romolo Ferrari. Following the 2013 edition at
the magnificent Teatro dell'Opera del Casiṇ in
Sanremo, the new 2014 convention comes in the
context of the culture and musical traditions of
the city of Brescia, also known as a guitar
center of national importance, thanks to the
initiatives promoted by the prestigious
Accademia della Chitarra, founded and directed
by Maestro Giulio Tampalini. It is this
important institution, thanks to the
collaboration of Maestro GiulioTampalini, to
offer his patronage to the XXVII edition of the
Guitar Convention, to be held this year in a
setting of particular architectural merit: the
Teatro del Chiostro di San Giovanni di Brescia.
The program of the
conference, as usual, provides talks/performances
on topics of research by teachers and scholars
of the highest credit, with the aim of deepening
the story guitar in its historical development,
from the Renaissance to the present days. On the
occasion of the conference will also be
organized, as in previous editions, one or more
documentary exhibitions dedicated to famous
guitarists of the past.
